Its true-RMS thermocouple element provides accurate readings on any modulation format without range-switch glitches, while the low-SWR 2.4 mm interface keeps mismatch uncertainty tight for millimetre-wave links. Although it predates EEPROM-equipped probes, the 8487A plugs directly into modern Keysight EPM, EPM-P and P-Series meters--as well as legacy 43x/436/437/438 frames--so you can preserve existing test code and accessories. Refurbished sensors ship ISO-17025-calibrated, giving you Keysight-grade accuracy, 50 GHz coverage and long-term serviceability at a fraction of new-sensor cost.
