The pre-owned Agilent N8488A extends average-power measurements from 10 MHz all the way to 67 GHz, covering emerging E-band radios and multi-band sat-com links with one sensor. A wide -35 dBm to +20 dBm span and < 1 % linearity expose true gain, compression and flatness without range-switch glitches, while the integrated thermocouple architecture delivers genuine RMS readings on any modulation. EEPROM-stored cal factors eliminate manual tables and keep uncertainty budgets tight when the sensor is paired with modern EPM, P-series or N191x meters.
