The pre-owned Agilent 8481A extends average-power measurements from 10 MHz to 18 GHz with a wide -30 dBm to +20 dBm span and sub-1 % linearity, so a single sensor covers everything from VHF radios to Ku-band mixers without range-switch glitches. Its thermocouple architecture yields genuine RMS readings for any modulation format, while the rugged Type-N body and low-SWR design keep mismatch uncertainty tight. Although the 8481A predates EEPROM-based probes, it plugs straight into modern EPM, EPM-P and P-Series meters as well as legacy 43x/438A frames, protecting existing test code and accessories. Refurbished units ship ISO-17025-calibrated with fresh adapters, slashing capital expense and lead-time yet preserving Keysight accuracy, long-term serviceability and sensor compatibility.
